Following the briefing sessions carried out by the City Council at the end of last year, the Council have now issued revised job descriptions for the following posts:

We have arranged meetings across the City for all TA's to attend.  UNISON will use responses and feedback from these meetings in the consultation with the Council.

School Support Staff Petition Against the Single Status Proposals, signatures are still needed.  It is essential that as many signatures as possible are obtained.  Closing date for receipt of petitions has been extended to 31st January 2011. Please click here.

Letters will be issued on 18 October and staff will have two weeks to decide whether to accept the new terms and conditions.  Please follow this link

 

UNISON is currently seeking legal advice on the proposals and have arranged a series of meetings across schools.

SINGLE STATUS - NCC STAFF

 

 

Advice on Notice of Dismissal Reponse Form  (updated 12 Aug 10)

 

Members who have not agreed to vary their contracts have been seeking clarification of their options on the Notice of Dismissal Response Form. Please follow this link for the latest advice

 

Special Update on Compromise Agreement

 

Staff can return their compromise agreement after 31 August, and up to 31st October.  However, missing the August deadline will mean that payment will not be actioned for the November payroll.

Consultation Meetings for Members who have not signed their variation of contract

(added 9 June 2010)

 

Members who have not agreed to vary their contracts will be invited to an individual consultation meeting, which will take place between 21 June – 16 July. Members who would like a UNISON Rep to accompany them to this meeting, should contact the Branch Office on 9156883.

 

All members will shortly receive a newsletter explaining the current position.  This is in the process of being written and will be posted on the website as soon as it is available.  In the meantime follow this link to see the script that HR will be using at the individual consultation meetings.

Freedom of Information Request

 

The Branch submitted a request to NCC for information under the Freedom of Information Act – to see a copy of the letter click here.

Legal Advice on Signing Compromise Agreements

 

In addition to the legal advice the Council are providing for staff signing Compromise Agreements, UNISON members are entitled to alternative advice from Thompsons Solicitors.

 

The dates for the Compromise Signing Events have been put back and will now start week commencing 7 June 2010.
