UNISON CONFERENCES
National Delegate Conference
2012
The 2012 UNISON National
Delegate Conference takes place from 19th
– 22nd June 2012 in Bournmouth.
The Local Government
Conference will precede the National Delegate Conference and takes
place on 17th and 18th
June 2012 at the same venue.
Our Branch is entitled
to send five delegates to the National Delegate Conference who are representative of our membership. There is strict proportionality and fair
representation criteria that we must adhere to and we often have difficulty
in filling all seats (particularly the young members seat (aged 26 or
under) and the low paid seat.
All accommodation and
travel costs are met by UNISON and if you have children to care for, you
are able to take them with you as a crèche is provided. All first time delegates will be invited
to attend a briefing prior to the conference.
If you are interested
and wish to be considered to attend one of the conferences please contact
the Branch Office on 8762441 to register your interest. If more members are interested than
places available, elections will take place at the Branch Annual General
Meeting in March 2012.
