Becoming a retired member of UNISON

If you have been a UNISON member (or a member of one of the partner unions) for at least two years on the day you retire and you will be either getting a pension or have reached pension age, and will not be taking further paid employment you can become a retired member.

How much does it cost?

For the eligible retired person life long membership of UNISON costs £15.

Keeping in touch

The Retired Members of Nottingham City UNISON meet bi-monthly at the New Mechanics on North Sherwood Street. They also organise social events and outings and keep up to date with UNISON campaigns and pursuing issues of concern to the community at large including retired people.

Membership services and benefits

UNISON retired members receive superb membership benefits which can save them money on a wide range of services. UNISONdirect is still available to you. It can provide out of hours information and access to membership services and benefits, including legal services and welfare. Legal services include a free will service and fixed cost conveyancing among other things.
